Old Skool/New Skool Commercial: Infomercials, Enough Said.

Okay, what is with infomercials and their uncanny ability to make the easiest tasks look like rocket science?

Here is a classic example of an infomercial dramatizing a task into looking like it just can’t be done without their product: The Snuggie. Who would have thought that after years of using blankets with no problems that we were all suddenly in trouble and needed a new product to save us from our struggle.

The whole commercial explains how blankets are so difficult; you can never get comfortable, you can’t do anything while using a blanket, and they are just down right useless. But hey, buy the backwards robe and your problems will be solved.

On the other hand, how many people ran out and bought a Snuggie right away? Did you? What are your thoughts on infomercials like this one?
